  7. Advanced PICK is a multi-user, postrelational DBMS that permits up to 2000
  8. users to share a common database or business application. PICK gives businesses
  9. the ability to manage data effectively to improve their productivity and
  10. profitability. Any PICK application will run on MS/DOS, OS/2, UNIX, SCO UNIX,
  11. IBM AIX, or DG-UX systems as well as in native standalone mode for any Intel
  12. 80X86 processor. PICK applications are easily customized using data
  13. dictionaries and SQL or PICK's ACCESS query language. PICK's UPDATE Processor
  14. is a full-screen data editor that uses the PICK dictionaries to govern data
  15. entry and output, and update formulas and rules. Available on mainframes,
  16. minicomputers, and PCs, PICK includes print spooling, phantom processing, and a
  17. powerful BASIC programming language enhanced for use with database structures.
  18. PICK includes additional features, such as secondary B-tree indexing and
  19. triggers (i.e. event driven ability to call BASIC subroutines from dictionary
  20. definitions).
